Milos Raonic Makes Return To ATP Tour

Canadian tennis trailblazer Milos Raonic has made his return to tennis from the brink of retirement.

After not playing since July of 2021, the big Canadian has found inspiration to get back in shape after injuries kept him from training.

At the Libema Open in the Netherlands, Milos started his comeback.

Queens Then Wimbledon

Milos timed his return with his favourite and most successful surface - grass.

After one win and one loss in Holland, Raonic is in a fairly open section of the draw at the Queens Club in London. He’s drawn Jordan Thompson in the 1st Round, who he lost to in s’Hertogenbosch.

Thompson played a great match in Holland, reading and returning the big Canadian’s serve in his 7-6, 6-1 victory.

If Raonic can beat Thompson, he’ll most likely play Brit Cam Norrie, who’s the 5th Seed and quite comfortable on the green stuff. If Raonic can make it to the QFs, then he would likely face American Frances Tiafoe.

It’s great to see Raonic back on court. Fit, hair looking great, it almost looks like he never left. In some of the interviews he’s done, it seems like this year may be a bit of a farewell tour, but we’ll see. If he can stay healthy and find enjoyment with the level he can produce, then hopefully we can see him have another great stretch of his career here.

Only time will tell.
